Wound as Portal to the zeitgeist: let’s talk nonsense.

Meaning for essay keywords:

Portal:

  1. a doorway, gate, or other entrance, especially a large and/or imposing one.
  2. a website or web page providing access or links to other sites.

Zeitgeist:

The defining spirit of the time or the mood of a particular period of history as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time: essentially NOW.

Temenos:

A Sacred space: not just a place but a state of mind, a sanctuary wherein the ‘participants’ feel safe and where contact and conversation with the numinous is sought and encouraged.

Numinous:

Derivative of the Latin Numin – meaning “divine power.” also used to describe the spirit or divine power characteristic of a thing or place.

The Chiron Wound contains the Shadow, the unconscious, the unknown and therefor all our fears and dread: it is the last place that we would willingly tread. But herein lays the quandary and conundrum: it also contains our potential, the key to personal evolution and the bridge to enable access and to reach our greatest gift. To go through the portal/wound we will have to do so without our baggage and ‘cap in hand’ for this portal is only wide enough to accommodate the traveller. We cannot take the past and we cannot see the future. We most certainly cannot take all our much loved beliefs and concepts: small wonder the zeitgeist represents ‘the road less travelled’.

Can all things take their Beginnings from a Source not yet created?

Travellers, searchers and seekers have for millennia been looking for the means to understand the deeper meaning to life and living and to apply this meaning in the pursuit of a purposeful existence. What if we have to forgo all logical sequential endeavours in order to move into and through the Portal? The tools used in the search have included all sorts of appliances: religious practises, extreme sports, ingesting hallucinogens, the list goes on – but it’s always in the last place we look isn’t it? What if we are entering a new space/place where the only tool or valid currency is our ability to be nonsensical: i.e. to receive information not meant for our thought process and where our task is simply to bear witness? Sounds simple enough right? But first we need to consider/know where is the ‘we’ the witness ‘looking on’ objectively? All matter on planet earth was once nought but stardust: wheeled and congealed to take all sorts of sizes and shapes and forms. If we are to believe the proposed theories of evolution some pond scum/algae (politicians) got some sort of electromagnetic charge and voila the next level of human life: – came into being. With the exception of the politicians and Rupert Murdoch the new lifeform continued to evolve until engineers built skyscrapers and freeway flyovers. But back to the issue at hand: where is the observer in all this? If you dare to sit in a quiet environment for two seconds your powers of observation will be able to notice a constant stream of thoughts: incessant and centre stage. In this environment it would seem that the ‘observer/the we’ might be located inside our cranium, behind our eyes. But then you get an itch on your knee and suddenly the ‘observer’ is aware of and becomes the itchy knee. Bruce Lipton’s research into Epigenetics suggests that each cell is conscious and aware – an individual sentient being in its own right. Bruce also suggests that each cell membrane is in contact with the external environment and retrieves information via the antennae in the skin of each cell. So the query continues – almost exponentially: the plot thickens like information laden blood. So far we know that our body is comprised of all the same basic ingredients as the earth on which we tread: minerals and acids that came originally from the stardust to make pond scum. Each (individual) cell is made of stardust and each organ (and bones) is made of individual cells – where is the ‘observer’ now? Dust to dust goes the saying – meaning that we started out as stardust and to stardust we will return. The ‘thing’ that keeps the dust animated is the life force, the Chi – the Prana. Our breath comes into and out of us, one at a time, allowing the ‘observer’ access to continued residence within the animated dust.  So was the ‘observer’ in the dust all along or did it arrive via the incoming first Prana? If each individual cell is self-aware and aware of the environment wherein it resides and is receiving/retrieving information from an external source: where is the intelligent ‘observer’? Is the observer the dust, in the dust or floating without form outside the dust? How does the ‘observer’ decipher the information: sifting wheat from chaff? The findings of cellular memory contained within the text of the book titled The Heart’s Code infers that intelligence and memory are stored within the organs of the body. Cases are cited (in the book) indicate this to be valid suggestion when recipients of donated organs start to behave like the donor: now where is the ‘observer’: particularly relevant if the donor is deceased. Why and how would the behaviours – that are foreign to the organ recipient: i.e. belonging to the donor – persist now that the donor is no longer present?

So back to talking nonsense: the zeitgeist, the portal and the numinous. Sitting still and quiet we notice (via our capacity to become the ‘observer’) that our conscious awareness is caught in the streaming of thought. The zeitgeist is not to be located here because the bulk of these thoughts are concerned with past and future. How then do we get the observer/awareness to the place where the zeitgeist might become available: i.e. from the source not yet created?

Once more we will call on our hero Chiron to offer, make available some sense to the seemingly ever expanding (nonsensical) conundrum. The Wounded Healer archetype lives within each of us and therefor within the collective. Symptoms present so as to make us aware, to remind us that the dust wherein we reside and transit has a finite nature and when life choices are made that are counter to the best interest of the dust the dust suffers: for example too much red meat will produce acidification of the dust and produce symptoms like arthritis, plaque on the walls of the blood/information carrying veins and arteries. The symptoms can also bring something else to the table: the tap on the shoulder, the prompt – information advising that our choices might be interfering with our potential, our evolution: we don’t want those politicians catching up do we? Returning to the aforementioned example of red meat – judicious choices can have positive effect on red meat consumption. Eat fresh fruit and veggies in conjunction and the negatives are lessened. In the same fashion we can look at all presenting symptoms and the interferences can become lessons. Now let’s transpose this hypothesis onto a larger screen. The Macro is comprised of the Micro just as the dust particles make the cells that make the whole body. The 7 billion (plus) dusty inhabitants of the giant dust ball make the collective and NOW we have symptoms that the life choices being made by part of the whole/collective are not only compromising the health of the whole, but left unchecked and without proper response will permit those cretinous politicians to continue which will ensure demise of the collective. It would seem obvious we can no longer place our lives and future in the hands of a corrupt few. I for one am not prepared to hand over my precious dust to those who have no capacity to care or consider its true value. NOW what – how does one little vibrating dust ball make a difference? The answer lays in the zeitgeist – each of us – should we want to remain living are required to find the zeitgeist. We must make our own Temenos and here we must locate and commune with the Numinous, the ‘Divine’ pure intelligence direct from the Source and not yet created. OK the plan is simple – NOW to execute Chiron’s suggestion of taking a deep dive into the foetid fecundity of our personal Shadow: do we really have to? Sorry but yes – we have to willingly dive into the cesspool of our pond scum and willingly accept what we see. Difficult – yep – because we will see that the pond scum we like to call politicians is an aspect of our own self. As distasteful as it is we have to know and to accept that there is a part of our nature that is capable of committing the most heinous atrocities. Having recognised this about our dusty selves we then have to accept, integrate and love this Shadow – there is no beauty without the beast – we are the Yin and the Yang, we are the Devil as much as we are angelic. If we as vibrating dust can sit quietly and humbly amid the ooze and the slime we can access Newness in the NOW-ness. We can become our own authority we can make life choices that produce vitality and health to our own dust particles that will expand and spiral out and into the hearts and soul that is the collective dust. The eureka moment awaits – to get to it – BE QUIET, BE STILL and know the Prana has the power and is the only thing capable of keeping the dust alive within the zeitgeist.

We handed over our one precious life/chance and the custodianship of our earth/home to an external authority and allowed the Shadow to grow. The ‘puppeteers’ put President Bolsonaro into power into Brazil and with one wave of his mighty hand is supporting the burning of the ‘lungs of the planet’ – what could possibly go wrong?  NOW in our ignorance allowing such acts to continue we have inadvertently given birth to a situation that brings with it the end of our life the end of our chance. None can plead innocent and planting a trillion new trees will not equal the loss of the old ones. If some knew the consequences of decisions being made: and be assured they certainly did/do, then by association if by no other means, we are all guilty – the clock is ticking – it’s two minutes to midnight – it’s TIME to stop making sense and help Dorothy to locate her red glass slippers? Be it ever so humble there is no place like it.

P.S. Don’t succumb to the stultifying fear that this predicament brings with it – doing this means the ‘Puppeteers’ have won – get to the zeitgeist – if you don’t know how you had better find out – and quickly!

  1. Speaking of zeitgeist, this was in my inbox this morning…
“The speck of stardust implanted in each of our souls is another and perhaps deeper way to consider the old statement of ‘dust thou art, and to dust thou shalt return.’ We may feel small and insignificant in terms of the cosmic expanse and the growing uncertainties of life on earth, yet we are directly connected to the stars and it is the very the nature of the human soul to bring the stars down to earth.“ – Michael Meade
Going to vacuum up some of those Star~dust bunnies now
